This actually applies to food in general, but since today’s breakfast was pancakes, it’s the rule of pancakes!
Don’t make more than you’re going to eat.
Pancakes are a slippery slope for me. I love them. SO, SO MUCH.
But even if you make whole wheat or oat or <insert other cool pancake base here>, they still have calories. And I can eat me some pancake calories, guys.
So when I make pancakes, the rule is not to make more than our family needs, because if I make three extra pancakes, guess what’s going to happen to the three extra pancakes?
Rule of Pancakes. And pretty much everything else.
Oh, and if you do batch cooking, have the storage containers on standby. Don’t be tempted to leave it sitting out so you eat more than you plan. Like chili. Mmmm, chili.
Good thing I’m full of pancakes. >.>

Couldn’t agree more. Thats why I don’t make pancakes from scratch at home. Either frozen at home or head to IHOP
